Opelousas Rural Development Group
The City of Opelousas has assisted more than fifty (50) businesses with start up, business expansion or technical assistance through the Opelousas Rural Economic Development program.
In an effort to further develop these businesses, the City of Opelousas has formed the Opelousas Rural Development Group designed to provide assistance that will increase their company visibility, customer base and revenue.
The group meets bi-monthly to partner with each other, pool their efforts and learn techniques geared towards expanding their businesses.
The City of Opelousas will provide technical assistance to the Opelousas Rural Development Group in these areas:
- Business Expansion
- Certifications
- Government Bids/Grants
- Improve Compliance
- Tax Preparation
- Marketing
- Brochures/Newsletters
- Event Planning and Execution
- Fax/Scanning/Computer
