Celebrating National Municipal Clerks Week with City Clerk Leisa Anderson

During the May 13, 2025 City Council Meeting, the City of Opelousas proudly recognized City Clerk Leisa Andersonin honor of National Municipal Clerks Week (May 4–10, 2025). Spearheaded by Alderwoman and Mayor Pro-Tem Sherell Roberts, the Council joined together to thank Ms. Anderson for her outstanding service and unwavering dedication to our city.

With 33 years of service to the City of Opelousas—10 of those as City Clerk—Ms. Anderson continues to be a cornerstone of professionalism, integrity, and leadership in municipal government. She was also honored by her colleague, Ms. Yocha Payne, Property Tax Clerk, in celebration of this well-deserved recognition.
