The Marshal is the executive officer of the (City) Court; his office pursues and arrests fugitives who have failed to appear in Court when notified. The Marshal's Office is in charge of security providing a safe environment for the Judge and the City Court staff. The Marshal also transports prisoners and serves processes and warrants.
Other duties require the Marshal's Office to seize property and manage assets acquired from criminal and civil activities, conduct sales, preserve peace and execute a wide variety of court orders. The Marshal has the same powers and authority of a sheriff.
