Work of this class requires general supervision, planning, and coordination of all phases of Water Production, Treatment, and Distribution, Wastewater Collection, Treatment and Disposal. Maintenance of street and sanitation division, Municipal Garage, water meter reading, water utility technical engineering assistance in capital improvement and developing projects of the Public Works, Water and Wastewater facility projects. Formulates and modifies policies and procedures as they relate to the Public Works Department. Supervises contract construction work, reading and serving of utility water meters. The efficiency, and conformity to standards. Direction is exercised over a staff of skilled and unskilled workers in the Public Works Department. General direction is received from the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, with work reviewed through periodic reports, conferences, inspections, and reactions of citizens and the general public.
