The Louisiana Orphan Train Society holds an annual gathering and open house of the descendants of the Louisiana Orphan Train Riders. Everyone is invited to gather and tour the museum, one of only two of its kind in the United States, and hear the untold stories of the children that rode the trains from New York and eventually found homes in Louisiana between 1873 and 1929.
