The St. Landry Chamber of Commerce Foundation is hosting a Jr. CEO summer program, for children (ages 8-14), that teaches them how to start a business and then provides them with an opportunity to run their business in a profitable location in the city and make their own money.  This program will help teach business skills, financial literacy, responsibility, goal setting, and team work.

The St. Landry Chamber of Commerce Foundation Lemonade Day program will run Monday, July 25th – 29th  from 8:30 am – until Noon and end with the opportunity to sell their products on Saturday, July 30, 2022. On this special day, after completing the quick and fun Lemonade Day financial lessons, children will have the opportunity to run a business they created…at a stand at the Opelousas Makers Market.  If you would like your future Jr. CEO to participate this year, please call the Chamber office at 337-942-2683 to register today!

When:  Jr CEO Program:  July 25th  – 29th  from 8:30 am – Noon
*Makers Market:    July 30th  from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Where: St. Landry Chamber of Commerce Office  (109 W. Vine St.)
*Makers Market is located in Court House Square

Cost: $175 per child   ($25 – sibling discount for 2nd and 3rd child)
— Must be of the same household to receive discount
Included:  Lunch & Snacks; Booth Space at Makers Market

Space is limited to 15 participants

*If your child chooses to participate in the Makers Market they will be require an adult supervisor and all aspects of their booth set up/clean up, supplies, and business management will be the sole responsibility of the supervising adult.  The St. Landry Chamber of Commerce will only be responsible for reserving the booth space at the Market.
