Message from Mayor Alsandor regarding impending thunderstorms
Citizens of Opelousas,
As a result of inclement weather and after further consultation with the Superintendent of Parks, all games scheduled for Monday, May 10, 2021, will be postponed, canceled, or suspended for the following reasons:
- Heavy Rain
- Thunder and Lightning
- Poor field conditions from weather
Drivers, please proceed to use caution while out on the road as streets and intersections are prone to extensive flooding during heavy rain. Please be safe during the predicted thunderstorms over the next few days.
