The City of Opelousas is brewing up a cauldron of fun this Halloween season with the return of the Trick or Treat Trail at South City Park! Join us on Saturday, October 26, from 4 PM to 6 PM for an afternoon of thrills, chills, and delightful treats. This family-friendly event, hosted by Opelousas Tourism and Opelousas Parks & Recreation, is free and open to the public, offering a safe and exciting alternative to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating.
Dozens of local businesses and organizations will set up along the walking trail at the park and offer treats, goodies and activities to kids. Other activities planned include train rides, photo opportunities and monster mash music. There is no cost for businesses or organizations to participate as one of the Trick or Treat Trail stops. The only requirement is to hand out treats to children that walk the trail. The event is designed for kids ages 12 and under.
Opelousas Mayor Julius Alsandor and the City Council are dedicated to providing family-oriented events to residents by offering citizens a fun way to spend time in their community. The Trick or Treat Trail is also made possible with the support of many local businesses and organizations. To sign up for the trail, please submit your sign-up form by Monday, October 21, 2024.
