Built by Harvey Wier, the home is constructed with stone brought by train from West Texas and is reminiscent of a Spanish ranch style. Many fossils can be found in the stones that make up the exterior walls. The home once featured one of the first air conditioning systems built into the walls. The home features a bomb shelter-like cellar.
