OPELOUSAS CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARADE SCHEDULED FOR DEC 9th
Opelousas, LA – The City of Opelousas is pleased to announce that the Opelousas Children’s Christmas Parade will roll through downtown on Thursday, December 9th, at 6 p.m. The parade will begin the eastern entrance of the city at Landry Street near Le Vieux Village and then continue west through downtown where it will end at the Yambilee Festival grounds.
The Opelousas Children’s Christmas Parade will feature colorfully lit floats, marching bands, dance groups and of course everyone’s favorite, Santa Claus. The cost to enter a large unit (18-wheeler, motor home, party barge, etc.) is $75, small trailers are $50 and cars or pickups are $20.
Parade registration forms should be submitted by Friday, Dec. 3, 2021 by dropping off to Stephanie in the Mayor’s office at City Hall located at 105 North Main Street, Opelousas or by dropping form in the Payment Box located outside of City Hall/Water Dept or by mailing the entry form to Opelousas Christmas Parade, 828 East Landry St, Opelousas, Louisiana 70570 Parade forms and information can also be found online at
